Remote working 101: How do you support your staff?

Friday, 28th June 11:00am – 12:00pm (UK BST)

Due to popular demand we repeated May’s successful webinar – to help you and your organisation get remote ready.

Are you remote ready?

Remote working is on the rise in the UK with 50% of employees expected to be working remotely by 2020*. The Office of National Statistics (ONS) has confirmed the number of UK workers who are working remotely has increased by nearly a quarter of a million over a decade.

Remote workers are typically more productive, motivated and engaged with a flexible outlook on their working week. In turn, organisations benefit from heightened morale and retention rates, and lower overheads.

But remote workers can feel disconnected, sensing they are missing out, leading to motivation and self-esteem challenges. Similarly, managers can struggle balancing office-based staff with those working remotely, keeping stress levels low and ensuring equal opportunity across their team.

Smart organisations are tackling these challenges head-on by upskilling their staff top-down. They’re embracing the ever-changing workplace and getting #remoteready.

We shared best-practice processes to sharpen organisations’ approaches to remote working covering team leadership, staff development, employee engagement and inclusivity.

By the end of this interactive webinar, attendees:

  • learned the best ways to lead a team remotely
  • understood what remote workers can learn from office-based staff and vice versa
  • learned how to unite remote workers and office-based staff to build an engaged team.
